Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior / Principal Transmission Lines Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution team in Sydney.
Our energy business across Australia and New Zealand is fast responding to, and rapidly transitioning to a low carbon and renewable energy future. We are seeing unprecedent investment in utility scale renewable energy projects and decarbonisation opportunities across our client base.
The Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible to work with and across a strong Transmission and Distribution Team and to provide the appropriate technical support, business development and deliver quality project outcomes on time and on-budget delivery.
This position requires you to be responsible for the development of the transmission line design, specifications, and interface with other disciplines on design issues across all project aspects.
You will be given the unique opportunity to work with our key clients who are about to embark on an ambitious major transmission works program of a scale not seen in the Australian electricity sector in many decades.
Qualifications
As a Senior / Principal Transmission Lines Engineer, you will possess most of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree - Electrical Engineering or Etructural Engineering
Strong understanding of transmission line design principles, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
Experience with PLS-CADD is a must.
Experience with PLS-Pole and PLS-Tower is highly desirable.
Attention to detail and proven track record of energy project delivery.
Lines design experience – 132kV and above is ideal.
Solar farm / windfarm connection cut-in design experience is highly desirable.
