Job description

  • Build strong HNW client relationships and prospect opportunities
  • Drive the next chapter of growth for Westpac Private Wealth
  • Sydney based opportunity

How will I help?

Within Private Wealth, we seek to provide unique and differentiated insights, expertise, and opportunities for high-net-worth clients.

We’ve created a new exciting opportunity for a Senior Private Banker to develop and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth Private Banking client relationships through growth of existing and new-to-bank clients.

Our clients have access to a comprehensive offering, built around their goals, and backed by the financial resources of one of the World’s leading Financial Institutions. We truly understand the importance of having a long-term view. Our purpose is to help our clients and their families to create enduring financial advantage for generations.

What’s in it for me?

You'll play an important part in driving the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years and in return, we'll support you in the development of your career. With continuous opportunities to learn and grow in an inclusive environment backed by a fantastic team of passionate and knowledgeable people, you'll be empowered to thrive with us.

Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.

What do I need?

To be set up for success as the preferred candidate, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven success in building deep client relationships in the HNW/UHNW sector as it pertains to Private Banking, Investment or Private Wealth solutions
  • Strong capability in delivering a holistic banking, wealth, and service proposition to Private clients
  • Evidence of strong collaboration with peers across different teams and/or segments
  • Strong competence in managing compliance and risk; ensuring thorough client due diligence, including AML/KYC obligations, and robust understanding of policy and risk controls

What is it like to work there?

We aim to provide one big, supportive team of people who love helping others succeed. Working with us you'll discover new ways of working, and an exciting range of roles to showcase your skills. As an equal opportunity employer, we’re proud to have created a culture where people can be their best, in an environment that values diversity and flexibility. And one where everyone belongs.
