About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available through a new role in the Business Support Division within Intelligence & Covert Support Command (ICSC). ICSC is seeking a VPS5 Senior Procurement/Contract Practitioner who will assist in navigating government procurement processes, write applications, support ICSC procurement governance and assist with contract management.

Your duties will include:
Working alongside specialist Divisional Managers and local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand operational and business requirements.
Liaising with relevant Victoria Police stakeholders and suppliers to co-ordinate end-to-end procurement processes.
Familiarising with technical products to support asset purchasing and contract management.
Supporting a number of consecutive procurement processes, responding to changing priorities and time-sensitive requests.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
Highly developed written communication skills, with experience in identifying and effectively communicating issues to a wide range of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities within tight timeframes and allocate/manage workload accordingly.
Demonstrated experience in procurement activities including familiarity with governance and probity practices and supporting strategic direction and change.
Ability to work autonomously on your own initiative and be self-motivated and driven.
Requirements and relevant information:
One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
