In this role, you will deliver end-to-end procurement activities including:
- Delivering end-to-end procurement services
- Providing commercial and procurement expertise, advice, and assistance to your stakeholders
- Developing go to market documentation (in consultation with your clients)
- Developing work orders and contracts
- Performing contract changes
- Expert procurement advice and support to internal customers
- Provide accurate procurement information and sound advice to all levels of management
- Build and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Highlight issues and provide advice on procurement options and strategies
- Provide support and assistance with procurement planning, analysis, and reporting
- Undertake end-to-end procurement from source to contract management
- Uses appropriate purchasing processes that reflect the complexity of the procurement in accordance with departmental policy and ensure value for money
- Provide input into the procurement activity plan for business areas you manage
- Ensure that procurement policies, procedures and activities comply with the Commonwealth procurement rules and, and other Government legislative requirements
- Ensure all procurement related activities undertaken on behalf of any business unit are in accordance with the Department's Procurement Policy and Probity Guidelines
- Procurement planning and analysis - Procurement management and reporting - Tracking and monitoring
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders both internal and external
- Demonstrated experience working within procurement policies and procedures that align to principles of accountability, scalability, probity, and value for money in the Commonwealth government
- Demonstrated experience in procurement-related roles to deliver savings/benefits across an organisation.
- Recognises actual and potential barriers and finds effective ways to deal with them
- Sets clearly defined objectives and priorities and operates accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems
- Committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients
- Minimum 3+ years experience Procurement / Strategic Sourcing
- Experience working within Defence.
- Australian citizen and current security clearance at a minimum Baseline level.
