This position will review and analyse categories to assure value generation, supply and risk mitigation within the Australian Indirect Portfolio by identifying needs of internal stakeholders and organization.

About the role
As an important member of the procurement team, you will work across our 3 national sites. You will be responsible for managing spend and engaging with vendors and internal stakeholders to create value for the organisation across all of McCormicks Indirect spend.

-Develop and bring category strategies to life across assigned categories working within overall business objectives and improvement programs
-Engage with current and new supply partners, managing relationships, performance and commercial outcomes
-Improve overall business value from our supplier based activities
-Develop and provide reporting against business spend and performance
-Analyse market trends, and partner with internal stakeholders to bring actionable insights into business decision process
-Engage with buying, finance and site teams to continuously build and improve processes and workflows
 
About You

-BA/BSc in relevant supply chain, commercial discipline or
equivalent
experience
-3-4 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience  
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-1+ years project management, execution of large, multiple, or cross-functional projects.
-2+ years purchasing experience in indirect categories ideal, but not a prerequisite
-You will possess and demonstrate strong negotiation, communication and influence  skills
-You will ideally have food industry/agricultural industry process knowledge or background in specific indirect categories
-You will enjoy and get energy from dealing with many different people about a diverse range of topics.
-Treat everyone with respect and possess genuine curiosity and willingness to learn
