About the RoleYou will play a senior role in the planning, production and output of news content for the ABC
News Channel. This role has a focus on the development and output of dynamic and accessible continuous news content as well as breaking news and rolling coverage for the
News Channel and other platforms. With limited guidance the role will involve;
- Planning and producing news content; developing ideas for continuous news coverage for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Overseeing the production of bulletin run downs on-shift, updating on air run-downs and ensuring the immediacy of continuous news output.
- Provide editorial direction for line-up producers, producers and studio control room teams.
- Collaborating with producers, reporters, presenters and studio crew to plan, produce and deliver news content .
About YouYou have experience in television news/current affairs and a passion for finding and telling stories that reflect Australia's diversity. Your skills and experience include:
- Experience planning, producing and delivering innovative news programming with an audience focus.
- Considerably high-level editorial skills with an ability to produce clear, strong and accurate editorial content.
- Experience in the control room outputting news bulletins including live events, live reporter crosses ,studio interviews, breaking news and rolling coverage.
- Outstanding problem solving/trouble shooting skills
- Sophisticated communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
