About the role
We are looking for an experienced Estimator who wants to join a vibrant business with a solid work culture that is committed to constructing top-notch homes. The role will be suitable for someone who is self-driven, diligent, and detail oriented. The primary goals of the Production Estimator is to determine the financial feasibility of projects by providing precise cost estimates.
Reporting to the Estimating Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- You will be responsible for managing complex and challenging projects such as KDR, custom dwellings, multi dwellings, display homes, and projects using alternative construction methods.
- Managing the Bill Of Quantities (BOQ) and ensuring that all quotes match the supplier agreements and comply with Rawson Group procedure.
- Identify potential site issues in standard BOQs and record all amendments in the masters plans.
- Managing and reviewing plans, engineers, specifications, schedules, and other relevant documentations before project commencement, ensuring no conflicting information and rectifying outstanding issues before release of purchase orders.
- A strong understanding of the estimating process from start to completion
- Provide high quality and accuracy in quotations and costing.
- Assist sales team and administration staff with any estimating queries.
- Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures.

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Degree or Certificate IV in Building & Construction Management
• Strong residential construction knowledge minimum of 3 years experience in similar role
• Highly knowledgeable of NCC and Australian Standards requirements
• The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and
• Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to identify process improvement initiatives
