We are currently seeking a Senior Production Metallurgist to join the Processing team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. This role being reporting into the Superintendent: of Production Metallurgy.
This site based at the well-known Sunrise Dam is on an 8/6 FIFO roster, to which we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie. - with a short commute each way to camp or to start your day.
Accountabilities:
- Demonstrate stewardship in health, safety and environmental policies to ensure that site, corporate, and legislative requirements for the operation are met
- Lead and coordinate Production Metallurgy, Gold Room, and Laboratory duties
- Provide technical guidance, training and coaching to Metallurgy and Operational personnel
- Develop budget and forecast plans to achieve key business objectives
- Review and investigate Production performance compared to budget/forecast targets and provide actionable improvement options
- Oversee and approve metallurgical accounting system outputs, inclusive of production reports
- Identify short to medium term plant improvement projects and develop schedules to evaluate and quantify benefits
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:
- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
- Previous Gold Processing experience, inclusive of gold/sulphide flotation
- Extensive experience at a Plant Metallurgist level
- Demonstrated experience leading a small team, inclusive of coaching and mentoring
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Current "C" Class Driver’s License
- The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
