The Forest Products Commission (FPC) is an efficient commercial Government Trading Entity that makes a big impact. The FPC primarily works in the pine plantation forestry sector across the diverse environment of Western Australia. Its work is shaping the future of the forest products industry.
The FPC has transitioned its business in alignment with the government’s changes in forest policy. This has resulted in a shift from commercial scale native forestry management to being a contract manager providing contracted harvest and haul services to the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions for forest health outcomes. The FPC continues to increase softwood plantation development activity to support WA’s housing and construction industry.
About the role
The Senior Procurement Officer coordinates, plans, prepares and undertakes tender processes for procurement and sales in accordance with relevant legislation and FPC / wider Government procurement policy to deliver defensible, value for money outcomes.
As a Government Trading Entity, the role offers a unique opportunity to undertake more complex and commercially focused procurement activities within the State Government sector for both sale and supply contracts.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia.
