Job Description:

­­­Who are you?

In a time of challenging market conditions in the demanding Construction industry, we are seeking a motivated and visionary change agent with deep industry knowledge and commercial acumen, that understands the value of data and emerging trends and technologies.  We are looking for someone who can think beyond the existing paradigm, has a drive and desire to be a shaper of industry through thought leadership and the execution of growth drivers, has exceptional communication and people management skills, is able to bring together and support a team to drive the business outcomes.  The ideal candidate can establish and maintain relationships with diverse senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.

What is the role?

This business development & account management customer facing role represents the Trades, Services, Suppliers & Manufactures portfolio under the Construction segment for AU & applies account management skills for the retention and acquisition of new customers within CoreLogic’s construction SME business segment. 

This position can be based out of Corelogic's Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane locations.

The role combines account management, customer retention and a strong emphasis on new business acquisition.

In addition to self-generated and sourced revenue, success will rely on working collaboratively with other CoreLogic sales and service channels across our business, to maximise revenue from new and existing customers and ensure CoreLogic’s market leading position is maintained supporting our customer-first culture.

Reporting into the Head of Construction, Sales, you will drive CoreLogic’s Construction retention and growth strategy across Australia & New Zealand via industry engagements, sales solutions and partnerships.  This is a Senior Professional account management role supporting a diverse and cross functional team of both sales and product management.    

What will you be doing?

Supporting the CoreLogic Construction business, alongside the Head of Construction including:

  • Achieve sales and revenue targets for the portfolio by acquiring new and more importantly retaining customers
  • Negotiating & signing deals within policy guidelines, maintaining contact with the largest customers within the portfolio
  • Monitoring sales revenue, churn rates, campaign focused upgrades & downgrades and initiating corrective action where & when required
  • Working in close collaboration with other CoreLogic business units
  • Strive to achieve quarterly targets, by ensuring a healthy pipeline is at play with CRM diligence and discipline adopted
  • Conducting Corelogic system and product training via in-field and digital demonstrations, and coordinating the preparation of sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Portfolio Management plans
  • Attend all industry relevant events as required, including sponsored programs and conferences at weekends (at times) to prospect and amplify the CoreLogic brand in market
  • Establish and implement a clear portfolio / category strategic plan that aligns to the National Construction Strategy

  • Experience or knowledge of the Construction sector, in particular, the systems, tools and best in class practices currently used within the Construction industry (desirable)
  • Strong verbal, written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Senior expertise in engaging in strategic conversations with customers
  • Be an enthusiastic sales hunter and champion and demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of the real estate, project and construction landscapes.
  • Be fearless and have the ability to identify and deliver an end to end solutions from sales pitch to product delivery and activation
  • Proven ability to manage key customer relationships at senior levels of an organisation - with a high focus on retention
  • Ability to manage the commercial needs and priorities of our organisation and those of the client’s organisation

What credentials do you need?

  • Intimate and technical understanding of the Australian & New Zealand Construction landscape
  • 5+ years of B2B sales in digital media, project marketing or SAS
  • Business certifications or memberships with industry bodies (UDIA, HIA, Master Builders, Property Council of Australia, etc)
  • Knowledge of costings & estimating principles, real estate sales or project & construction industry sales qualifications
