Overview:
Responsible for facilitating and providing high-quality advice and support to the:
- regulatory functions of the unit relating to oversight of Schools of Anatomy
- development and management of organ and tissue-related projects and programs, and
- development and management of programs and projects relating to the use of blood and blood products.
These functions will result in the development of general, technical and clinical State-wide policies and programs that support:
- the maintenance of public confidence in the management of blood, organs and tissues donated for therapeutic, teaching, scientific and research purposes under relevant legislation
- good clinical practice and optimal use of generously donated human blood, organs and tissues, and
- South Australia fulfilling State Government obligations under national agreements and other relevant legislation.
Additionally: The successful applicant will be appointed at PO3, ASO6 or MeS3 classification based on fulfilment of the essential criteria reflected in each Role Description.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
