  • $99,788 to $105,495 - PO3
  • $97,022 to $102,626 - ASO6
  • $102,641 to $114,968 - MeS3

Overview:

Responsible for facilitating and providing high-quality advice and support to the:

    • regulatory functions of the unit relating to oversight of Schools of Anatomy
    • development and management of organ and tissue-related projects and programs, and
    • development and management of programs and projects relating to the use of blood and blood products.

These functions will result in the development of general, technical and clinical State-wide policies and programs that support:

    • the maintenance of public confidence in the management of blood, organs and tissues donated for therapeutic, teaching, scientific and research purposes under relevant legislation
    • good clinical practice and optimal use of generously donated human blood, organs and tissues, and
    • South Australia fulfilling State Government obligations under national agreements and other relevant legislation.

Additionally: The successful applicant will be appointed at PO3, ASO6 or MeS3 classification based on fulfilment of the essential criteria reflected in each Role Description.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • An appropriate degree in Science or equivalent

For MeS3

  • A degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (MeS stream)
