WHAT YOU’LL DO
This position is a permanent full-time role reporting to the Project Manager. Salary ranges from $140K to $160K.
The main purpose of the role is to:
- Achieve cost-efficient delivery outcomes of achieving target financial objectives and risk management through analysis and scrutiny of all project components from tender thru to final construction and project close-out for each Stage with the Authorities.
- Ensure that the development delivery meets internal and external stakeholders’ contractual expectations
Key responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
- Overseeing, managing and directing a section of the project.
- Managing/coordinating project accounts and ensure milestone monthly timelines are met.
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring sequence of works are followed.
- Reviewing design, identifying problem areas and expediting solutions.
- Planning project activities in MS Projects
- Ensuring subcontractors are well resourced to meet project targets
- Assessing subcontractor claims, adjudicating, and issuing for payments.
- Ensuring all subcontractors are meeting quality standards and signing off their Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Regularly chaired meetings with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Managing changes in project scopes, identifying potential crises and devising contingency plans.
- Ensuring site compliance to HSE regulations and company policies and procedures
- Conducting email correspondence and registering/maintaining drawings, defects, site progress photos, reviewing daily diaries in relevant systems such Oracle Aconex and Procore
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you are expected to demonstrate the below:
- Proven understanding of and experience in project and financial management in the Australian property market development and construction industries
- Proven understanding of and experience in cost planning, cost control, forecasting and commercial administration
- Proven focus on sustainability, technology, alternate and/or de-centralised infrastructure and complex mixed-use environments
- A technical working knowledge of all major building trades, services, strong commercial acumen, and in-depth knowledge of construction costs.
- Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering, project management urban design, business, land economics or other relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent industry experience of 10+ years working on Master Plan projects
- Strategic and analytical thinking approach to problem solving and decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
