Position: Senior E&I Project Engineer
Company: A global professional services company of energy, chemicals, and resources experts headquartered in Australia.
Location: Perth, WA, Australia
Employment Type: Contractor
Contract length: Initially 12 Months - Subjected to extensions
Project: Mining - Minerals sands (rutile, zircon, synthetic rutile and rare earths)
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones.
- Supervise project personnel through subordinate leaders.
- Bridge the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers.
- Review BOM's, project schedules, and forecasts for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
- Develop and manage risk mitigation, contingency, and resolution plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Implement communication tools and processes to keep team members informed.
- Track cost and schedule, using analytical skills to forecast trends.
- Understand and apply business drivers and financial reporting standards.
- Resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in engineering, project management, and supervisory roles.
- University degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
- Professional registration in the local jurisdiction and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Experience with EPCM and EPC projects, including site assignments in multicultural environments.
- Advanced knowledge of company management and knowledge systems, processes, and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
- Demonstrated ability to organize information from multiple sources according to prescribed formats and policies.
- Commitment to using company methodologies, processes, tools, and systems throughout the project to meet compliance requirements.
