An excellent opportunity to join a Large, Well-known tier 2 civil contractor. The role is within their Road and Transport Division becomes available for a Senior Project (Mechanical) Engineer.

About the role
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for delivering projects on behalf of our client as part of the agreed additional services program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure projects as agreed with client are delivered on time and in budget
Schedule project activities to suit client’s timeline
Liaise with vendors and participate in planning activities to facilitate effective delivery
Ensure activities are carried out within budget requirements
Manage stakeholder expectations
Contribute to regular and reliable forecasting of project costs to TU
Contribute to the provision of regular operational updates
Support assurance (risk, quality, compliance, safety, value for money) collaboratively with M&T assurance team
Support the transition to a network-based model
Driving excellent Risk and SHEQ performance within the Project/Business Unit
Fulfil expectations as defined within the SHEQ Accountabilities and Responsibilities document
About you
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant qualifications
Previous exposure to road maintenance activities, an essential
Demonstrated skills in project and construction management, planning and control
Demonstrated experience of reporting to internal management and client using agreed formats and templates
Local RMS experience
Demonstrated experience of managing direct reports
Holds valid Australian visa with full work rights.
