In this critical leadership position, you'll be the technical and strategic backbone, ensuring the delivery of a unique Pond 5 capping and closure project that is both challenging and vital. Your efforts will effortlessly combine safety, scope, functional requirements, technical design, and quality standards.
The role benefits from a 2:1 roster to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory, on a 12 month roster, with considerable opportunities for growth and recognition.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the Engineering Department to maintain superior technical standards, functional goals, and project timelines.
- Offer technical direction, supervision, and support to the construction contractor throughout the project's sequential phases.
- Oversee the coordination of Construction Contractors and ensure that contract obligations are consistently met.
- Champion the management of Technical Queries, Requests for Information, and Project Assurance.
- Lead in promoting a safety culture that aligns with global safety standards and actively engage in safety and environmental programs, interactions, and inspections.
- A background in Project Engineering supervision within the civil construction area.
- Substantial experience in both contractor coordination and direct civil earthworks management.
- Proven record in technical problem-solving, design reviews, and conflict resolution.
- Outstanding leadership abilities with an emphasis on mentorship, fostering a collective work environment, and promoting team interactions.
- Willingness to be site-based and adapt to a 2:1 roster.
