The role
We are seeking aProject Manager – Water Infrastructure to join our highly successful business in Brisbane. This interesting role will utilise your sound water and wastewater infrastructure knowledge where you have utilised both your design and project management capability.
This is a client facing role, where your collaborative working style will be valued. The candidate should have experience in successfully delivering projects that require problem-solving, attention to detail and innovation skills.
With a minimum of 7+ years' experience (RPEQ qualified), your main responsibilities will be:
- Oversight of engineering design for projects and design packages to meet the requirements of the client and SMEC
- Building and maintaining a solid and effective client relationship
- Stakeholder management to ensure adequate consultation occur with other projects
- With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships.
Suitable applicants will have:
- Local experience successfully delivering Design Management capabilities on medium to major water / wastewater infrastructure projects (from planning to detail design)
- 7+ years of experience managing water infrastructure projects of >$5m successfully to budget and client specifications
- Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of designs within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Experience working in an alliance environment, managing the interface between client stakeholders and ensuring designs meets expectations and are fit for purpose
- High level communication skills to advise and guide project design development in a pro-active manner and to represent the SMEC design team as a valuable contributor to projects
