- overseeing the PALM scheme risk management,
- implementing the scheme's governance framework (in collaboration with DFAT) and undertaking a strategic secretariat role, and
- improving the Division's Information Management capabilities to achieve compliance with whole-of-government requirements and good practice recordkeeping.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Senior Project Officer is responsible for assisting with section specific activities and projects, as detailed under 'Duties and Responsibilities' heading.

General
- Undertake independent analysis and research work,
- Contribute to the development and review of plans, papers, briefs, cheat sheets, talking points, and other documentation,
- Manage projects of less complex nature,
- Work constructively with internal and external stakeholders and provide subject matter input,
- Establish, manage, and document procedures, processes, and internal controls, and assist in the strategic planning for the section,
- Communicate with diverse audiences through well-developed written and verbal skills,
- Adhere to the APS Values and Code of Conduct.
Specific
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge in Content Manager system, and advise internal stakeholders on complex Information Management enquiries,
- Contribute to the implementation of Information Management tools, such as records authority and supporting business classification scheme.
