The key duties of the position include:Under broad direction:
- Manage and coordinate the successful planning and delivery of ICT projects.
- Following Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and internal processes, establish clear plans and timeframes for the project implementation to support and promote the ICT operations including:
- the preparation and maintenance of all project documentation;
- the preparation and facilitation of procurement, cost and other project plans and briefs;
- facilitating consultancy service contracts and monitoring service provision;
- the preparation and facilitation of contract documentation for engagement of service providers;
- participating in or facilitating tendering processes;
- Provide regular updates to the Director, Corporate Services as needed, including progress, costs, timelines, safety and risk mitigation.
- Undertake first point of contact functions for general queries for the Business Systems Section, including ICT queries that might require follow up with the Manage Service Provider (MSP). Undertake client focused troubleshooting activities such as “walking the floor daily” to ensure Business Systems is meeting client service requirements.
- Undertake general research and analysis tasks, interpret and present data and other material as it relates to business systems issues (including ICT, MSP, Contracts, Procurement, Intranet, PSPF etc).
- Develop, coordinate and manage:
- Business System daily activities;
- Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation;
- Business Systems Process, policy, and procedure documentation;
- Develop and maintain effective and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, cultural institutions, consultants, contractors and event organisers.
- Assist with the management of status reports on information management projects and for other reporting requirements for the NCA including Annual Report, Authority papers and other reports as required.
- Manage resources and performance consistent with NCA policies and Australian Public Service standards.
- Participate as a constructive member of the National Capital Authority and provide reasonable support with Branch functions as required.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Project management qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience in contract management with particular skills around ICT.
- Ability to gain and maintain a security classification of Baseline is mandatory.
- At least one (1) year demonstrated experience working in ICT and or Project Management environments.
- Commonwealth procurement rules.
To be eligible to work with the NCA you must:
- be an Australian citizen
- undertake a security assessment to the requisite standard
- have completed the 'redundancy benefit period' if you received a redundancy benefit from an Australian Public Service (APS) agency or a non-APS Commonwealth employer.
