Your New Role
We are looking for a dedicated and strategic Senior Purchasing Planner to join our team in Rocklea soon to move to Yatala. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that align with our company's objectives. Your primary tasks include purchasing, planning and managing inventory levels, forecasting procurement needs, negotiating with suppliers, and analysing market trends to optimize our purchasing process. You will also work closely with various departments to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain.
As such this role contributes to the bottom line.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in planning, purchasing &/or inventory management, with a focus on planning and strategy in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation and communication abilities, and proficiency in supply chain management software.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a relevant field.
- Characteristics: Detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, and capable of making data-driven decisions.
