THE ROLE
We’re hiring a senior full stack software engineer for the Ai team. Someone who can bring experience with applications working at scale, who is an all rounder with software engineering and infrastructure. You'll enjoy experimentation, testing & iterating on new ideas and not be afraid of breaking things every now and then :) You'll also be a safe pair of hands, freeing up the currently very hands on CTO and helping to uplift the current team.
You'll have large scale commercial experience with:
- Python & Django (ideally)
- Linux & infrastructure
- designing databases and data structures for large scale distributed systems
- deploying in large corporate networks
Predominantly our stack is Python & Django. We also work with React for our back-office software and Raspberry Pi in each store.
Our system is composed of a distributed fleet of thousands – shortly to be tens of thousands! – of devices installed in our customers’ locations, with a central API and AI-driven stack to help ensure the right content and messaging are delivered for maximum impact. This leads to some extraordinarily interesting problems, ranging from scaling our services to handle >100k requests per minute, reliably operating tens of thousands of embedded systems, building industry-leading AI applications to drive effective messaging, all the way through designing the UIs that help us and our customers use and understand our platform.
