Senior QA Test Engineer

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of an in-house bespoke Asset Management Application.

About the Company
You will be working with a market leader within their industry, with over 2500 employees and an established IT team. This role would suit an individual which has broad experience across application Development, Infrastructure, and Security, as well as leadership and mentoring capabilities. This is an interesting time to join the team as they have several large transformation projects, some of which includes revamping the data analytics, next-gen IoT (telematics), and omni-channel digital experience platforms implementation.
About the role
This role goes beyond the conventional checkbox testing; it offers a chance to explore the core technology and engage with bespoke systems. We are actively seeking testers with a flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail.

• Conduct thorough manual QA testing on our in-house application, ensuring the highest standards of quality and functionality.
• Drive the automation testing efforts, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software modules.
• Employ Jira for efficient project management and issue tracking.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, to understand project requirements and ensure effective testing strategies.
• Collaborate with product managers to gather requirements and define testing criteria.
• Utilise SQL queries for data validation and testing procedures
• Implement ETL processes for comprehensive testing.
• Leverage Cipher technology to ensure the security and integrity of the companies application.
• Use issue tracking tools, such as Jira, to report and manage defects throughout the testing life cycle.
• Provide detailed test reports and status updates to stakeholders.

Skills & experience

• Proven experience as a QA Test Engineer with a significant focus on manual testing
• Demonstrated expertise in automation testing
• Experience with cross-platform testing of mobile applications
• Familiarity with OutSystems development platform.
• Proficient use of Jira for project management.
• Strong command of SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with ETL processes in a testing environment.
• Knowledge of Cipher technology for security testing.
