About you:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering/quality or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Significant experience working in a quality role
  • Lead auditor qualification to ISO9001
Any experience in the Defence industry would be highly desirable.

Your responsibilities will include:
The main responsibility of this role is to develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. You will ensure performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards and review, analyse and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. The role will also require you to investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. You will interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met and make recommendations on corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Other day to day tasks include:
  • Ensure a high level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to Quality Assurance matters
  • Perform a wide range of standard and advanced Quality Assurance activities
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and administration of approved quality systems and processes to ensure compliance with Australian regulatory standards, including ISO9001:2015 requirements
  • Undertake the development, implementation, and maintenance of approved quality plans using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
  • Co-ordinate and perform audit activities to ascertain the effectiveness of systems and processes and level of compliance
  • Review, analyse and report on quality discrepancies
  • Identify and investigate problems that may adversely impact on quality controls, then develop and recommend corrective actions for discrepancies
