We have an exciting new Senior Records Advisor role available in our Information Services Branch. The Senior Records Advisor is accountable to the Manager, Records Management Unit and plays a key role in in the development and implementation of future directions and strategies for corporate records management across SAPOL.
The Senior Records Advisor supports the Manager, Records Management Unit in the strategic planning of records and information management, supporting complex business objectives and undertaking a multitude of projects. The role also provides high level advice and corporate support services to SAPOL employees and identifies innovative opportunities for business improvement across the Agency.

About you
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of records management practices and their application in the Public Sector, which includes the State Records Act 1997.
- Demonstrated experience in records management, including the management of permanent and temporary records, the application of disposal schedules and archival practices.
- Demonstrated experience in developing Records Management policies, standards and guidelines that are consistent with legislative and government requirements.
- Experience in configuration and administration of an Electronic Document Records Management System.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven successful outcomes.
- Experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with policies and standards in relation to records management.
- Demonstrated experience using initiative to take responsibility for significant projects and work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in training and mentoring of staff.

Special Conditions
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
- A current South Australian driver licence.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
Salary
ASO6 - $97,022 - $102,626 per annum.
