Duties
The Senior Redeployment Consultant is responsible for the provision of expert advice regarding redeployment principles and practices in line with the management of excess employees. This role works in collaboration with senior leadership, the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment (OCPSE) and stakeholders across the People and Capability Directorate and across government. The incumbent works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide support and advice relating to unassigned and excess employees and other support to manage the retraining programs conducted by the department and any temporary
workplace assignment which may arise.

The Senior Redeployment Consultant will have a strong focus on customer service and will support the implementation of innovative solutions to address complex employee needs as they relate to redeployment, retraining and redundancy and may include return to work considerations.

The role will ensure compliance with Corporate Policies, HR delegations and Commissioners Standards and contribute to the development, implementation and review of practices and programs that contribute to the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.

Requirements
No formal qualifications or licenses are required.

Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be required relevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement; and

Work outside normal hours and inter/intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences may be required.

Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 12 months.

Remuneration
ASO5 - $83,273 to $92,614 per annum
