About The Role:

The Senior Revenue Officer is part of a larger team responsible for determining the amount of duty to charge on transactions. The duty raised contributes towards the State Government’s revenue collections that are used to benefit the Western Australian community. The role works closely with individual taxpayers, property conveyancers and tax professionals to meet customer timeframes and manage expectations.

This role reviews documents such as commercial contracts, trust deeds and financial statements for a range of complex transactions, then interprets and applies the legislation to determine the appropriate amount of duty to charge and consider whether any relief or exemption from duty applies.

Senior Revenue Officers help and support team members to develop their legal skills and understanding of state tax legislation and assist in the call centre to provide advice to the public about duties and using our online services.
