AddressWe are currently supporting a prestigious client in their search for a Senior Data Migration Specialist, well-versed in SAP applications for ERP / EAM processes. This role involves close collaboration with the Delivery Lead within the Enterprise Asset Management Functional Services team, alongside Product Owners, Functional Specialists and Subject Matter Experts.
The Data Migration Specialist will operate across various programs such as Asset Works Management and Finance.
Requirements
Duties of the position will include but are not limited to:
- Navigate data challenges related to ETL from legacy systems to the new SAP S/4HANA & MDG systems, with an innate functional SAP understanding on how data needs to be loaded and represented in SAP;
- Develop, maintain and manage data related artefacts required for delivery across each phase of the program - includes the management / creation or updating of multiple interdependent Data Migration design documents, build plans and conversion activities;
- Take a lead role in managing data defects related to Data Migration activities, performing root cause analysis comparing source and target data, to reach an appropriate remediation or solution;
- Communicate formally and informally through existing forums to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management; and
- Work closely with a mixture of internal and external staff and ensure the effective alignment and co-ordination of Data Migration activities and solutions to an agreed schedule.
Technical Requirements
- The development and management of data solution artefacts (e.g. Physical Data Model, Data Construct / Designs) and contribute to migration project plans and schedules;
- Risk and issue management and escalation related to data defects;
- Provide comprehensive support data defects resulting from migration activities;
- Providing accurate and timely status reporting;
- Develop succinct issues / options papers to facilitate decision-making by steering and executive committees;
- Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and senior management; and
- Effectively deliver data preparation and migration activities to a successful outcome.
Selection Criteria
Selection of the successful bid will be based on the following criteria:
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Data migration consultant on large complex ICT projects, with SAP ERP / EAM experience;
- Experience in migrating legacy data into SAP Preventative Maintenance, Enterprise Asset Management modules.
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP BODS, showcasing your ability to utilise its features effectively;
- Recent experience of managing trial conversions, data cleansing, mapping, data reconciliation and data resolution activities;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at technical and non-technical levels;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, senior management and project team members; and
- Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines in a high pressure, fast paced, environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in being hands on with Data Migration design and build activities;
- Demonstrated experience managing projects leveraging a variety of development / delivery methodologies;
- Experience in ADM / Syniti tool would be advantageous;
- Experience of end to end Data Migration process and steps involved;
- Experience working with both top and down level effectively;
- Exceptional communication skills; and
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Duration
6-months contract.
Reporting Structure
The role will report to an ERP EAM Program Manager.
