Our Client

As a result of continued success this privately owned freight forwarder and customs brokerage has a need to add an experienced Seafreight Operator who has a strong focus on customer service.

The Position

  • Communicate with clients, carriers and suppliers to negotiate rate agreements
  • Process of import transactions including LCL, FCL and FAK shipments
  • Co-ordinate the import sea process from shipper to consignee
  • Ensure transshipment freight is processed effectively to minimise delays
  • Reconcile carrier invoices against agreed client rates
  • Assist with cartage co-ordination
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service issues promptly and efficiently 
  • Escalate unresolved shipment issues to the manager for assistance
The Requirements

To be considered for this role you require:
  • Proven sea freight experience
  • Flexibility to assist other teams as required
  • Positive and outgoing team player attitude
  • Strong and effective communication style
  • Corporate presentation skills
