About the Role As a Senior Secondary Engineer you will be a key and valued contributor within an engineering team who provide technical expertise across the Projects portfolio. You and your team will work with internal stakeholders, and Design and Installation Service Providers to ensure projects are delivered in a cost-efficient way and to high standards of quality. This role will report to the Group Leader, Secondary Engineering within our high performing Engineering Solutions team, with a base location at Southbank, Victoria. We are a flexible and truly hybrid workplace. What you will deliver Provide Secondary Engineering technical support into Customer and Company initiated projects across AusNet's Electricity transmission and distribution networks Contribute to continuous improvement in design specifications, standards, procedures and project quality Apply technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projects Provide input into Protection and Control designs and provide technical engineering advice for brownfield and greenfield substation projects Produce and auditing secondary detailed design deliverables to the required quality, meeting all current standards Manage value engineering/innovation initiatives across varied project types at times in collaboration with other stakeholders both in Projects and wider AusNet stakeholders What we like about you Deep technical knowledge and extensive experience in the field of Secondary Engineering, including protection, control and Scada Ability to simplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers (e.g., summarising key decision-making during delivery of detailed design) Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar Demonstrated experience working in electrical engineering, electrical project delivery &/or electrical design role/s Detailed understanding of project lifecycles and application of engineering principals Proven capability in development of concepts and/or delivery of designs Inclusion and Diversity We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, one that fosters belonging, where everyone brings their unique strengths and innovative ideas.
