Senior Social Worker - Grade 3

DHSV is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. Our aim is to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups and those most in need. We provide Victorians with quality oral health care through the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) and work collaboratively with other sectors to deliver oral health promotion programs to benefit all Victorians.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director Quality and Safety, RDHM, the role is responsible for leading the social work program at RDHM and where required, in the delivery of Smile Squad services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a direct clinical response to clients and their families who present to the RDHM with psychosocial issues.
- Coordinating RDHM’s response to meet requirements of the Family Violence Multi-agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework and the Child Safety Standards.
- Providing clinical expert advice for, and support implementation of learning interventions to strengthen the organisation’s response to managing at-risk clients and client groups.
To be successful in this role you need:
- Tertiary qualification in social work.
- Evidence-based specialist knowledge, and clinical reasoning to lead and enhance care for patients.
- Knowledge of clinical resources and outcomes relevant to support patient’s psychosocial needs.
- Knowledge of the Family Violence Multi-agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework and the Child Safe Standards.
