About the Opportunity
Our Information Technology (IT) team, based in Perth CBD, are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer to join them. In this role you will report to the Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and testing software applications as part of IT projects.
- Maintaining existing software applications.
- Estimating and tracking your own tasks within an IT project and communicating progress.
- Deploying and configuring new software applications in the production environment.
- Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback.
- Promoting software development best practice and sustainable code quality.
About You
Other key skills, experience and qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent tertiary education in the Information Technology field is preferred;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a software engineering role.
- Deep knowledge and expertise in modern .NET web development, including C#, ASP.NET MVC and WebAPI.
- Strong experience with Typescript or Javascript, and preferably React.
- Experience with modern HTML, CSS and responsive web design.
- Knowledge of software security considerations and practices.
- Experience in building resilient and scalable systems.
- Experience with SQL Server and SQL.
- Experience working in an agile environment, preferably in a Scrum team.
- Self-reliant and capable of both independent work and as a member of a team.
- Good conceptual ability and skills in analysis and problem solving.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience with Azure App Services is desirable.
