Cleared ICT have partnered with a technology and AI company currently expanding and looking for NV2 or above Python Software Engineers for several openings in Melbourne and Canberra.
You will be working on challenging problems with leaders in their field and leverage multi-disciplinary backgrounds to develop creative, novel and state of the art solutions, all whilst having fun!
What you'll do?
Write secure, well-tested, performant, and quality code
Lead the technical design and implementation of software products across a team of developers
Own issues, drive and coordinate to meet delivery timescales/milestones
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
Share knowledge through technical documentation, technical write ups, and technical presentations
Actively collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, technical specialists and other x-RD teams to achieve effective and speedy development
Identify opportunities for improvement in software development, engineering, security and testing approaches, processes and tools
Develop specialist knowledge in relevant programming languages, tools, techniques and apply expertise and knowledge to deliver effective solutions
Our Backend Stack
Python, Gitlab, Pulumi, Ansible, Packer, AWS, Azure
What we are looking for
5+ years of experience in software development (including time in team lead roles)
Experience with one or more IaC approaches such as Pulumi, Terraform, Terraform CDK, Puppet, AWS CDK or AWS CloudFormation (Pulumi experience is Highly Desirable)
Experience with GitLab or similar CI/CD platforms
Experience working in a range of DevOps teams to deliver timely and performant software solutions
Experience liaising with technical and non-technical customers in Government, academic and commercial environments
Experience with AWS and/or Azure is is Highly Desirable
Experience deploying to and managing a kubernetes (k8s) cluster is Highly Desirable as is experience working with OpenStack
Able to effectively communicate technical and/or business concepts through writing or in person to customers, internal teams and executives?
Able to work effectively remotely, with minimal supervision and using collaboration tools to produce technical and business outcomes
Skills that will be helpful
Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering or related degree
Proficient in Python (C/C++, Java are also desirable)
Software solution design and engineering
Agile IT project management skills and/or qualifications.
Decomposing and scoping of higher level problems into actionable tickets
