Do you like to research how things work and to think laterally to stop bad actors from accessing an environment? Introspectus has vacant position for a Software Developer to join our software development team. This team builds software which detects security weaknesses in our customers’ computer environments. Our customer’s installations scale from a few computers through to tens of thousands.
Challenges which you are going to encounter on a daily basis include:
• How does the existing software work?
• How could this be exploited by attackers?
• How can I implement a test to confirm that no exploits have occurred?
• How can I make this test work at scale, across thousands of machines?
• How can I present this data to customers?
• How can I help our customers fix issues encountered?
There is a large amount of Research and Development in the role. Whilst you’ll have the resources of the Development Team behind you, you’ll also need to be able to be a self-starter, who can be given a challenge and come back with the answer.

About the Project
The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has mandated the implementation of the Essential Eight Mitigation Strategies for the mitigation of targeted cyber intrusions. Introspectus has build a system for monitoring compliance at scale.

About the Team
Our team’s skillset is varied. We have specialists in UX and Graphic Design, Data Storage, Backend Processing and Front-End Design.
The successful candidate will initially focus on the software we are deploying to our customers.
Day to Day Work
Our office is based in Fyshwick, Canberra. We allow a hybrid work model.
