maxgeo is a leading supplier of Data Management Solutions to the mining and exploration industry. Currently, we have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Software Developer, full-stack, to join our global team, based in Fremantle Australia. You will test your code, identify errors, and iterate to ensure quality code. You are able to conceptualise and write clear quality code for end-to-end software and applications and perform test reviews, develop, implement, and test APIs, provide ideas on devs projects, detect and troubleshoot software issues on any given day. Use your scrum knowledge, keeping up with sprints and tasks, progress tracking & support necessary to deliver on time within an agile project management framework
Responsibilities
This is a challenging and critical role in an established but visionary data management company that services the mining industry and you will:
Design and develop software solutions
Keep track of work with pertinent documentation
Review code
Be willing to learn & understand all our products, tools & apps
Own the delivery of software solutions while providing a supportive environment to help drive the best outcomes
Believe in continuous improvement and promote ideas from all parts of the business
Have 5 years’ minimum experience working with ASP.NET Core MVC framework, core 5 or 6 preferred, DevOps with Git, WebAPI, dependency injection, SQL relational databases skills, C# coding,
Be actively involved in and propose solutions to keep projects delivery timelines
Have a good knowledge of other data visualisation tools & applications
Take responsibility for your own designed architecture and long-running development of projects you are part of
Actively participate in our Devs team, which includes local and remotely based team members
Influence positive change while using data to measure the impact
Have a team orientated attitude, willing to mentor and help others
Skills and experience
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with VB, INET
Proven experience being outcome focused for clients and the business
Interest towards integration of data, mapping visualisation tools to products and in use applications, i.e. Power BI, pXRF
Microsoft .NET Framework
Relational databases (e.g. SQL Server)
API creation, modification and consumption (GraphQL)
Experience working with DevOps
A strong interest in delivering good code and high performing, secure, high-quality software
The ability to take responsibility for and ownership of delivering key initiatives
Experience working in an Agile team and methodology
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
