Your new role
We are seeking a motivated Senior Software Engineer with full stack software development experience to join our Defence Sustainment Team. You will contribute to the development and support of a bespoke web-based application. You will be a part of a cohesive, tight-knit team that delivers a critical application to our Defence client. This position offers the unique opportunity to not only build and maintain this bespoke application but also to contribute to our nation’s security.
This role is based in onsite in Melbourne’s CBD, but we may consider either Canberra or Brisbane for the right person.
Your skills and experience
Experienced Software Engineer with broad developmental experience working on complex, secure systems.
Technically you have experience building web applications, Object Oriented Programming, SQL-based RDBMS, virtualisation, source control, REST and SOAP UIs and Test Driven Development.
Added bonus if you have experience with scripting, ElasticSearch, Apache Tika or OpenLayers.
You have good communication skills and a customer focussed approach being able to tailor your language to suit your audience.
Due to the nature of the role, you ideally hold a Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government security clearance with the ability to upgrade to a Negative Vetting 2.
