The Role

Permaconn is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team of 6 Software Engineers. You'll lead the development, design, maintenance, and support of complex IoT applications, with a particular focus on developing software that interacts and deals with video (digital video camera integrations, streaming, analytics). 

You'll get to contribute to every stage of the project lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and have the chance to collaborate closely with the hardware team, offering a unique blend of software and hardware integration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and functionality
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Implement automated testing and deployment pipelines
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in the production environment
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in full-stack development

Technology & Tools

• Full-stack development with NodeJS, ExpressJS, ReactJS
• Exposure to scalable and distributed architecture
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker
• Databases, such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL
• Linux operating system and command-line interface.
