Senior Solicitor
Fixed Term (June 2025), full-time 
Salary: $103,275 - $126,108 per annum + 11.5% super

The Fremantle Community Legal Centre (FCLC) is an essential part of the City’s service to community and not only provides legal advice and assistance, but also encourages and educates the community to be their own advocates. FCLC promotes and contributes to human rights and social justice by advocating for access to justice, equitable laws and legal systems.

The Fremantle Community Legal Centre is currently seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, motivated and dedicated Senior Solicitor to operate as a senior Family Violence specialist providing multi-functional supervision and support to other solicitors, PLTs, interns, volunteers and administrative staff. This position will provide administrative support to the principal solicitor and legal support to all lawyers and contribute to the development of ethical legal practice and guidelines in the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

The Senior Solicitor is responsible for providing comprehensive legal assistance to clients generally and operate as specialist or part of a specialist team in specific areas of Family Violence, by exercising initiative, problem-solving skills and autonomous decision-making without direction through a holistic approach.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Demonstrated legal practice experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Holistic practice.
  • Supervisory experience; and 
  • Ability to provide culturally safe and appropriate legal assistance.
