Varying from drafting legal documents to providing sophisticated tax-structuring advice and representing their clients in front of the tax authorities, the work is truly varied.
The firm has seen a strong demand for their services over the last decade, and continues to grow both in terms of reputation and the number of professional advisors and lawyers within the practice. As a result of this continuing and increasing demand, the firm seeks a talented and experienced Junior Tax Lawyer or Tax Advisory Consultant. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. This particular role will suit someone who enjoys focusing on drafting complex technical advice in respect of Australian taxation law in a busy legal practice with a strong pipeline of work.
Responsibilities
- Drafting written advice for HNWI, corporate clients and large privately owned groups;
- Working closely with the Tax Partners on various matters;
- Drafting legal documents;
- Trust deed variations
- Loan agreements
- Employee share plans
- Asset sale agreements
- Estate planning and succession planning for HNWI
- Assisting clients to resolve tax dispute and litigation matters with the tax authorities;
- Working across a variety of industry sectors
Requirements
- Law degree LLB or JD (ideal);
- 1 - 3 years experience, ideally gained within a business services / private tax / corporate Tax Advisory practice;
- Strong communication skills.
