About the Legal Aid NT:
Legal Aid NT is an independent statutory authority established under the Legal Aid Act 1990 (NT). About the role:
Under the supervision of the Client Services Associate Director, develop, manage, and coordinate a new service for prisoners with mental health conditions and/ or cognitive impairments seeking parole.
About you:
You are an experienced Senior Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years post-admission experience in legal practice, including demonstrated experience in advocacy; providing written submissions, complex advice, and undertaking policy, and law reform work.
Crucial in your success in this role is your high level interpersonal and communication and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with staff, external stakeholders, and clients with complex needs and from diverse backgrounds.
