About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to provide technical architecture and design services to new and existing Fujitsu customers. These will be typically delivered as part of a pre-sales/bid opportunity or a paid consultancy. This is a key role that will lead Fujitsu's infrastructure solution development and design efforts.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide advanced technical architecture design and support and advice during proposal writing, solution design and implementation.
- Deliver paid design consultancies to Fujitsu clients.
- Accountable for the development and technical integrity of the entire customer solution, including its cost effectiveness, supportability, viability and general fit to customer requirements.
- Accountable for direction/management of the Fujitsu technical design team on appropriate assignments. This will include selection and management of the formal design process.
- Strong client interaction - must be able to understand the clients' business as well as technical requirements and then provide them with a suitable solution.
- Must be capable of working within a pre-sales team.
- Identify and develop new (greenfield) relationships and opportunities, either leading or collaborating with other Fujitsu personnel.
- Close and regular interaction with the Production Support to ensure clarity and awareness of all activities and plans.
- Regular interaction and liaison with Project Services Project Managers to ensure awareness of all activities and plans.
- Awareness and adherence to Fujitsu's service delivery processes and methods.
- Technology leadership, awareness of industry and technology trends as well as Fujitsu's broad range of products and services
Requirements:
- Superior communication skills and personal presentation, both written and oral must be of the highest standard.
- Previous management experience and understanding of business is also a must.
- Experience in pre-sales preferable.
- Experience in formal design either as architect or in a senior technical or consulting role.
- Ability to generate trusted professional relationships with customers, third parties and within Fujitsu.
- Capable of effectively working and communicating with senior business management (CEOs) and technologists (CIOs, CTOs).
- Able to blend innovative technologies with pragmatic design and act as trusted technology advisor to Fujitsu customers.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying complex enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Familiar with formal design processes.
- Energy and enthusiasm. This is a critical part of the role as it will involve differing levels or work and fluctuating volumes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive and reactive.
- 5+ years relevant industry experience in a similar Architect position.
- Tertiary Qualification plus 5 years relevant experience working in a similar background.
