Our Lihir operation in Ancillary Fleet Maintenance is now recruiting for the position ofSenior Specialist – General Fabrication.
As a Senior Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical and supervisory leadership in the Ancillary Team Fabrication Workshop. Your responsibilities will extend to continuous improvement of maintenance plans, safety compliance and team management, training, and development.
Your expertise will be demonstrated by maximising asset availability and reliability to meet operational requirements, maintaining, and updating Welding Procedures and associated Inspection and Test Plans, and ensuring the timely completion of weekly schedules. Your proactive approach will ensure that all Work Orders are processed efficiently with the required level of detail.
The preferred candidate must possess a Trade Certificate in Fabrication/Welding or Mechanical Engineering complemented by Welding Supervisor and/or Welding Inspector Qualifications. Demonstrated experience with O&K – Terex RH200 Shovels, CAT 785 Haul Trucks, 6060 Shovels, 6020 Diggers, EX1200, and EX2600 Hitachi Diggers is also required for this position.
