Our Client is an agency of innovation, industry and science. They administer intellectual property rights and legislation relating to patents, trade marks, registered designs and plant breeder’s rights in Australia.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Splunk Engineer to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of Splunk core infrastructure services including Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Forwarders on Linux, Windows on premises and in Cloud.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assistance in major Splunk data technical addon, and data collection integration
- Support to the planning and design of data ingestion requirements for projects.
- Writing custom data technical addons using Python as required.
- Creating and fault-finding data collection inputs using PowerShell, Regular Expression, Java, .NET, or bash
Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Splunk Engineer
- Experience in faulting Splunk and architecting Splunk solutions
- Experience in system administration and architecting Splunk on Linux or Windows operating systems
- Experience in working with major network appliances and a good comprehension of their process flow and event log makeup
