The SRE/Cloud DevOps Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining a best-in-class, secure, highly available, and resilient environment that meets the organisation's changing needs. The position will ensure that our IT Environment remains highly available, reliable, and scalable. The primary responsibilities include automation, monitoring and incident response. It will also be responsible for implementing good engineering practices and capability, including security, networking, monitoring, scaling, and factors contributing to overall reliability.
This role is essential in establishing end-to-end monitoring/Observability, Reliability and incident response, and integration events/alerts with SNOW. Configuration and management of rules, modern services, processes and supporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) processes and tools.
- Assisting infrastructure architects in producing solution architectures and proposals for new projects.
- Managing and supporting monitoring tools, including setup, configuration/rules, and handling all events and alerts.
- Demonstrating expertise in Azure Cloud, Terraform, Ansible, and OpenShift.
- Utilizing advanced troubleshooting skills to enhance site reliability, monitoring, alerting, and resource management.
- Creating a positive customer support experience and cultivating strong relationships.
- Driving DevOps/DevSecOps practices throughout the organization.
- Maintaining a secure environment and ensuring compliance with IT service delivery frameworks.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, managing process enhancements, developing capacity plans, and promoting cross-skilling.
- Experience with SNOW event hub/ITOM.
About You
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing SRE processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Cloud DevOps, specifically with Openshift and Azure Cloud.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices.
- Experience configuring and managing end-to-end enterprise monitoring systems for both infrastructure and applications.
- Expertise in configuring and managing monitoring rules, as well as integrating alerts and event management in SNOW.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with various monitoring tools, including Azure Monitoring, Elastic Cluster, Cisco DNAC, SolarWinds, SCOM, etc.
