As a Senior SRE Engineer in our Payments Platform, you'll play a key role in ensuring that you are able to provide a technical role in maintaining ANZ's Oracle databases for the Payments Systems in operation
- Have primary responsibility to operate in the Payments SRE Squad with an initial focus of maintaining and upgrading the Database topographies of which Payments applications reside.
- Be responsible for managing the Database environments for NZ Payments in an on prem and in cloud environment
- Join a collaborative DevOps environment with a focus on continuous improvement and empowering others.
- Be passionate about making change in the SRE environment and have a approachable personality to engage with stakeholders at varying levels
- Operate cohesively with our Australian equivalents to ensure that both NZ and AU systems are maintained effectively and efficiently

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or have a full understanding of stack development and maintenance – essentially from a DevOps background
- Have a strong understanding of the principles of which DevOps and SRE in particular revolve
- Strong Database Operational and developmental experience including, but not limited to Database in Cloud Services, Software Installation, Database Builds (from scratch), Software Package Testing, Security Management, Daily Health Checks
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills and ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
- A desire to learn multiple disciplines in the SRE squad – including but not limited to Network Administration, Java Development, Automation Processing
- Experience with CI/CD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – being able to communicate at all levels.
