About the Role
The Senior Statutory Planner supports the delivery of high-quality land use and development in a progressive and customer first organisation. In this role, you will work across a diverse range of planning projects, ranging from unit developments, heritage proposals, industrial and commercial developments and applications abutting our creek environments.

  • Provide quality and professional advice to customers.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations on planning applications.
  • Prepare submissions and represent Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
  • Assist in the review and monitoring of planning policies and procedures.
  • Undertake other duties as directed within the skills and abilities of a position at this level.

Skills & Experience

  • Well developed understanding of the Victorian urban planning system and related acts.
  • Ability to research and analyse planning related issues.
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and prepare and implement work plans in order to achieve desired results within the resources and time available.
  • Well developed customer service principles.
