You will be an integral part of a capture team as the Operations and Support (O&S) representative to develop and document innovative support system solutions being proposed for tenders and ensure customer requirements are met. This role will be responsible for estimates, plans, monitoring, and tracking Support System requirements, and act as the primary interface to Support System development activities for both internal & external customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Guide the shaping of Support System requirements with capture leadership during capture phases prior to Request for Tender (RFT)
• Lead the Support System development in line with customer RFT requirements
• Establish the Support System WBS, basis of estimates and required documentation during the various stages of a capture activity
• Conduct Support System trade studies to ensure value for money solutions are obtained through the product lifecycle, detailing trade-offs that can be obtained through acquisition Mission System design costs and ongoing sustainment costs
• Provide SME knowledge of the Support System Constituent Capabilities and its relevant application to captures and programs
• Guide Engineering and Technology on the outcomes of Support System trade studies to enable appropriate design in the Mission System to deliver a value for money solution
• Guide and mentor Operations & Support staff in their work and actively support their professional development
• Lead Support System Working Groups and participate as an active member of other engineering Integrated Product Teams
• Prepare briefing material and present briefings to provide management, customers and vendors recommendations/suggestions that address Support System issues

About you:

• Extensive knowledge, ability and experience in the application of the Support System Constituent Capabilities to Defence programs
• Extensive experience in leading sustainment effort on a tender
• Extensive ability to develop ASDEFCON tender response documents
• Significant experience in effectively transitioning a Defence Acquisition Program into service
• Experience in the provision of support services under a ASDEFCON Sustainment Contract
• Expert level of experience to scale and tailor solution effort to the level required to achieve a successful outcome
• Experience in the application of ILS, RAM, LSA techniques to a program

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
