Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage system administration tasks, ensuring optimal performance and security of IT systems.
- Develop and implement robust cyber resilience strategies to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Design and deploy Virtual Reality (VR) solutions to enhance operational efficiency and training.
- Lead cloud migration projects, specifically within the Azure environment, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
- Utilise virtualisation technologies to streamline and optimise system resources.
- Manage data storage solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Provide networking support, with a preference for candidates possessing CCNA certification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions that meet business needs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high levels of service availability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in system administration, with a deep understanding of both Windows and Linux environments.
- Extensive knowledge of cyber resilience practices and implementation.
- Experience with VR solutions and their application in an industrial context.
- Strong expertise in cloud migrations, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
- Proficiency in virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Solid understanding of storage solutions and best practices.
- Networking experience, with CCNA certification (highly desirable).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in system administration, cyber resilience, cloud technologies, and networking are advantageous.
- 5 + years of System Engineering
