Your new role
Your role as a Senior System Safety Specialist will be to develop safety arguments, design the safety program, lead safety activities, author safety case reports, and be responsible for the development and execution of the safety program for several projects. Your activities will be formally documented in safety plans, risk registers and safety cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform systems engineering tasks according to Technology Management Framework (TMF) and relevant processes, policies, and guidelines
- Design and develop technical specifications and standards to meet customer requirements
- Manage complex system issues, recommend and implement solutions
- Prepare documentation related to system upgrade activities such as system requirements specifications, project proposals, and cost estimates
- Manage ongoing system changes to ensure technical integrity at the system level
- Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration
- Develop and maintain comprehensive solution, system, and engineering documentation
- Actively participate in cross-training to develop specialized skills and technologies
What you'll need to succeed
- Practical experience as a System Safety Engineer within a safety regulated industry (e.g. Aviation, Rail, Oil and Gas, Defence).
- Tertiary qualifications in System Safety, engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Essential - Demonstrated experience applying industry best practice System Safety analysis Demonstrated experience developing safety arguments/safety cases for large scale, complex projects within a safety regulated industry.
- Expertise in System Safety Engineering including executing core System Safety analysis techniques.
- Understanding of systems engineering processes
