About the role
You will be responsible for leading the design, development and maintenance of CeRDI’s innovative digital projects. The role requires a very strong technical capability to implement solutions and diagnose problems across CeRDI projects and technologies.
You will:
• undertake analysis of project requirements;
• design technical solutions and implementation plans following CeRDI’s established project management methodologies;
• lead project development and implementation; and
• ensure developed solutions meet technical standards and quality measures.
About you
You will have demonstrated expertise in leading the design and development of complex data-driven web applications and bring your expert knowledge of PHP 8 (recent experience with Laravel highly regarded), MySQL and/or PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Javascript, CSS and Git to the role.
Experience with front-end libraries (Bootstrap, Vue.js), Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence,Bitbucket), Linux command line, geospatial data and Python, is highly regarded. In addition, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills, including written, verbal and electronic communication.
It would be desirable if you also had experience in one or more of:
• ability in requirement gathering, documenting solution specifications, and writing functional requirements for technical teams;
• ability in project scoping, planning and management; and
• experience in managing teams to achieve quality and timely objectives.
