What you’ll contribute to
The Senior Test Analyst will lead a team of Test Analysts for the Next Gen Program. The role is intended to plan testing in a waterfall-agile hybrid environment, co-ordinate with internal and external teams, create and track to schedules, execute tests and report on progress to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development life cycles, testing methodologies, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the testing efforts for Connected Solutions in the NextGen program.
- Design, develop, and execute test approaches to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and business partners to understand requirements and identify potential issues.
- Mentor and lead a team of Test Analysts, providing guidance and support on testing best practices.
- Report and track project status, risks, and issues, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and new testing techniques to continuously improve testing processes.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide status updates and identify areas for improvement.

- Attend sprint planning meetings and discuss testing issues.
- Take personal responsibility to lead the testing effort for the Connected Solutions team within the NextGen Program.
- Work collaboratively to bring Quality to the fore.
- Build relationships and liaise with wider test teams and business stakeholders.
- Drive the prioritisation of testing activities.
- Ability to develop the test approach’s as required.
- Ability to plan and agree test schedules with multiple dependencies, with multiple teams.
- Ability to produce insightful reporting on test progress, risks, and issues.
- Ability to run defect triages successfully.
- Ability to suggest mitigations to remove blockers and delays, escalating where required.
Technical Skills:
- Experience of using Jira to track tests and create reporting.
- Experience with complex multi-level customer-facing solutions
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, Web services and TLS.
- Experience with Postman or similar testing tools.
- Exposure to IoT, Telemetry and gRPC is preferred but not mandatory.
