Senior Test Analyst

The role of Senior Test Analyst is to provide specialist capability for the designing, planning, and executing of test cases, identifying and tracking of defects, and ensuring the software meets the business requirements driven from either project or business as usual tasks.

THE ROLE

• Work closely with Downer Management (IT Application Portfolio Manager & IT Application Service Managers) to determine the testing approach and testing deliverable outcomes.
• Prioritise scoped items in collaboration with Downer management (Application Managers)
• Work closely with the business, Application development/support teams, other IT resources and vendor partners to ensure that Delivery is managed, aligned to agreed priorities and available capacity
• Implement testing practices and strategies to support the development of the application
• Manage and QA the delivery of in scope requirements
• Work with the IT & business stakeholders to determine key business needs / requirements and ensure appropriate options are considered
• Identify and report Key Constraints, Assumptions, Risks, Dependencies, and Issues derived from project/business requirements
• Ownership of key data so that the information used is accurate and considered the source of truth
• Maintaining clear communication with customers, key business stakeholders and vendors.
• Ensure systems documentation and templates are accurate and current
• Remediate audit findings and execute agreed elements within defined timelines
• Update documentation and provide inputs as needed
• Ensure that IT service management processes and policies are adhered to
• Ensure software license usage is known and in compliance with vendor licensing terms.
• Other tasks as directed by the IT Portfolio Manager

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualifications - Business / IT or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience
• Extensive functional and non-functional testing experience
• Experienced in performing manual and/or automated testing using industry standard testing tools
• Experienced in all forms testing - integration, end-to-end, performance, regression, system, smoke and user acceptance testing
• Understanding of developer's testing e.g. Unit and Component testing
• Experience with reading and writing T-SQL Queries
• Ability to interpret unclear requests, determine desired outcomes and co-ordinate an approach to define and deliver against these.
• Exposure to project management methodologies and their application. Able to plan work for self & others accurately.
• Exposure to a complex organisational environment with diverse business requirements
• Experience in the development of functional specifications, gap and solution analysis, including impact assessments on people, process and technology.
• Experience in business process documentation
